A YOUNG girl who went missing on a trip to London has been found safe and well.
Police in Cornwall had asked 18-year-old Christa Ward from Redruth to contact them and let them and her family know that she is okay. Her parents reported she was missing on Sunday night.
She had caught a train from Redruth at just after 2.30pm but failed to arrive in London. Although she lives in the Redruth area it is not thought she has many close friends.
Local police had been liaising with British Transport Police and checks had been carried out at stations en-route from Redruth to London but there had been no sightings of Christa.
It is thought that Christa may have made contact by text with a cousin who lived abroad but she was eventually found safe and well in St Ives on Monday night
