CAMBORNE 59pts SPARTANS 3pts
CAMBORNE cruised to an emphatic victory over relegated Spartans in a one sided encounter at the Recreation Ground.
In recording their 13th league success of the season the "Cherry and Whites" had the satisfaction of ensuring a fourth place finish in the South West Two table.
"Town" ran in a total of nine tries after going out of sight at 21-0 inside the first quarter of the match.
Skipper David Roberts was first to cross following a storming sixth minute run for David Mankee to convert. Scrum-half Mankee was soon on target again to add the extras to hooker Andrew Smith's try from a lineout catch and drive.
Fly-half Paul Gadsdon then created the third score for flanker Kevin Penrose, which Mankee also converted.
Still inside the first half hour No 8 Roberts touched down his second try from a pushover goaled by Mankee before Gadsdon served up a try wide on the right for Colts winger Cameron Bone to score a 30 minute try to give "Town" a 33-0 lead.
The visitors opened their account with a long range penalty as the interval neared, leaving Camborne 30 points up at the break.
Two minutes into the second half a sweeping handling move involving forwards and backs ended with a second unconverted try for Bone. Soon after another Colts player Adam Copeland ran onto Gadsdon's cross kick to gather and run round under the posts leaving a simple conversion for Mankee.
Gadsdon deservedly brought up the half century of points in the 55th minute crashing over from a quickly taken penalty with Mankee again converting.
With Spartans, who travelled with the bare 15 players then losing both props, fullback Copeland followed up his own chip ahead for his 2nd try improved by Mankee before referee Darren Becconsall ended the match just after the hour mark.
