Penryn town council has been ringing the changes as the mayor received a bell for the new town crier.
At the recent President's Night dinner of Penryn Rotary Club, club president Ann Congdon presented mayor Mark Snowdon with the bell for town crier Jim Henderson.
Mr Henderson was appointed to the role in May after the town council put out a call for a volunteer to lead civic processions in the town, and took up his duties at the same time as the mayor, as part of the procession for this year's mayor making ceremony.
The Rotary Club, of which Mr Henderson is a former president, said it had donated the bell to help continue Rotary ties with Penryn and the local community.
