Construction work is planned to start soon on a futuristic new office complex at Truro Business Park, hailed by the Newquay-based Talling Group as the "next level" in eco friendliness and ideal working environments.
In Talling's first venture of its kind, the three-storey £1.8 million "Evolution Building" is designed by award-winning architects Lilly Lewarne as the ultimate departure from the time-honoured convention of "working in a rectangular box."
With low maintenance and carbon footprint design, the building will have total floor space of 9,000 square feet, with a choice of office layouts starting from 1,100 sq ft.
Evolution Building is described by Talling as "very different from more traditional space available in Truro and a more accurate reflection of a contemporary company vision," offering space with minimal complication.
An innovative and versatile layout will provide open plan office space for maximum flexibility, with features including fully fitted accommodation with suspended ceilings, lighting, decorated walls and raised carpeted floors throughout the offices.
Other companies involved in the project include structural engineers Michael Beardsall Associates and AOD Design Services.
