A FATHERS group were in police company when they found themselves on the right side of the law.
The SaturDADS group which provides activities and support for fathers and male carers organised the event with Camborne Community Police to get an insight into police work.
Fathers and children attending the day had a chance to see inside a squad car, watch a police dog display and inspect police body armour.
The group meets at Trevu Children's Centre on Trevu Road, Camborne on the last Saturday of each month.
The SaturDADS sessions attract 50 members and activities include making model aeroplanes, science experiments, crafts and drumming workshops.
Each session begins at 9.30am with a cooked breakfast and follows on with activities designed to give fathers and male carers support in raising their children.
Coordinator Ian Parsons said: "The sessions have been running now for three years and were set up to encourage dads and male carers to spend quality time with their children and meet and support other dads.
"We are really pleased that Camborne Community Police have agreed to come to one of our sessions and show us some elements of their interesting work."
Men wishing to join the group can call into the centre on Trevu Road or contact Ian Parsons on 01209 611725.
