The body of a 66-year-old woman was recovered from the sea at Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay this morning.
Lifeboat crew members carried out CPR at the scene but the woman was pronounced dead at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
The woman's husband was taken to the hospital where he identified his wife who had gone missing from her home in St Columb on April 25.
At this time the death is not being treated as suspicious.
