A Falmouth man and his granddaughter took to the streets onboard a rare steam engine after winning a raffle at the Clipper Way pub.
Peter Badger, 65, and his granddaughter Emily, 13, won the trip to Camborne on the Bo-Peep steam engine during a charity event at the pub which was organised to raise money for the Bristol Children's Hospital.
The event at the Clipper Way was organised by Peter's daughter, Tracey, after her son Sam was involved in an accident on his bicycle.
After the accident Sam, 15, was rushed to Bristol Children's Hospital where medical staff saved his life after he seriously damaged his stomach.
The trip was donated to the charity event by Falmouth steam engine enthusiast Richard Stock who bought the Aveling and Porter Tractor 5541, Bo-Peep in 1998.
Peter, of Queen Anne Gardens in Falmouth, said: "I was absolutely delighted to find out that I had won this trip as I have had a fascination with steam engines since a young boy and as it helped raise money for the hospital it makes it even more worthwhile."
Mr Stock claims that the engine is the only one of its type left in the world and was built in 1904. He lovingly restored it to its former glory for its 100th birthday and can now often be seen driving it around Cornwall.
