Cornwall goes to the polls tomorrow to elect district councillors for another term. Not all constituencies are up for grabs, many nominees being returned unopposed although ballots will take place in keenly constested areas such as Truro and Falmouth.
The elections are also for parish and town councils although here many people have also been elected unopposed.
Turnout is not expected to be high although every effort is being made by returning officers in all districts to attract as many people as possible to the polling booths.
The result are not expected to be known until well into Friday. Counting in Carrick will be in the Sports Hall at Truro College and will not begin until Friday. The county in Kerrier will take place at the Carn Brea sports centre and will also be announced on Friday.
