Truro Cathedral shop celebrated its 20th birthday last Friday, to mark the occasion they held a special birthday tea and evensong. Inviting both past and present staff members to attend the event.
Over the years the shop has grown to accommodate a wide range of products, with anything from CDs to fair-trade products now being sold. It has serviced around 180,000 tourists, raising over half a million pounds towards the Cathedrals funds.
James Barker, the cathedral shop manager said: "Without our marvellous shop ladies we simply wouldn't be able to operate. They are the life and soul of the shop team and do an incredible job for us and the cathedral. Many of them have been volunteering in the shop for 20 years and so this is much more a celebration of their work and commitment than anything else."
