Liberal Democrats have won control of Caradon council in Cornwall but residents in Kerrier and Carrick are having to wait until later today to see the outcome of voting.
Both areas are carrying out counts today and results are expected later this afternoon. Polling took place yesterday and polling stations closed at 10pm.
In Caradon, the Liberal Democrats made a net gain of seven seats to take control, with 23 of the 42 seats.
The Tories tripled their representation to nine seats but the Independents plummeted from 22 councillors to nine. Labour lost its only seat and Meybon Kernow gained its first on the council.
Full results will be posted on the Packet website when they are announced.
