Firefighters carried out first aid on a man suffering from burns following a fire at a home in Chapel Terrace, Illogan Highway, Redruth last night.

Firefighters from Camborne were called to the fire at 10.40pm. On arrival they found the fire had been put out but the premises was still smoke logged.

Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property, and administered first aid to the one male casualty with burns.
