Volunteers interested in helping out with the forthcoming festival of bamboo being staged in Porthleven are invited to attend an open meeting at Porthleven football club on Monday.
Help is needed with a wide range of tasks, including erecting tents and marquees, making signs and banners and cutting bamboo in advance of the event, as well as helping out during the festival weekend itself.
The "Bamboozle - Bridge The Gap" festival is being held on Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17, although associated workshops and other events are already well under way in the run-up to the weekend.
Focused around the harbour at Porthleven and the Moors recreation ground, the festival will include a procession led by children playing bamboo instruments and an illuminated lantern launch, as well as a host of workshops, stalls, live music and other entertainment.
The centrepiece of the event will be a bamboo bridge structure spanning the harbour gap.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the festival activities or willing to help out in any way is invited to come along to the meeting on Monday, which begins at 7.30pm.
