Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was punched in the face during a robbery in Redruth on Monday.
The 31-year-old local woman was attacked by a man, just before midnight, at the back of Redruth Rugby Club, near the Penhale estate.
He approached the victim from behind and punched her twice in the face before stealing cash from her and running off in the direction of Cardrew Lane.
The suspect is described as white, in his early to mid‑twenties, and was wearing dark trousers, a dark top, and white trainers.
Detective Constable Julian Lewis, based in Camborne, said: “The victim suffered a facial injury and was understandably shaken by the attack.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.”
