A group of workers from a Falmouth based care company have been doing their bit in the fight against cancer by raising more than £500 for two Cornish charities.
TrewCare carers, led by Katy Wallis, have been raising funds for Pants Charity and for The Cove – MacMillan Cancer Support, by taking part in the Falmouth Carnival, selling at car boot sales, and collecting donations from staff, clients and friends.
The group raised £251 for Pants and £296 for The Cove, which was was match funded by TrewCare so that the two charities could be given over £1,000 between them.
The group presented a cheque for £502 to Jeannette Preston, founder of Pants Cancer on Friday, May 13, and will post the other cheque to The Cove.
