CLIC Sargent and the Cornish Pirates have just launched there new CLIC Sargent Touch Rugby Festival, allowing both their supporters a unique chance to train with the professionals and compete against other local businesses for the prestigious CLIC Sargent Cup.
The event is going to be held at the Truro College on July 22, starting at 9am with the Cornish Pirate players spending the morning coaching the teams some professional skills.
CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Jordan Anderton, said: “This is a truly unique event and real chance for the local businesses to get to know the local superstars. We are extremely grateful for the support of the Cornish Pirates, they have been fantastic and tremendously supportive in making sure we can support more young people with cancer.”
After they have been coached in the morning, the afternoon will be spent competing for the CLIC Sargent cup. Throughout the day each team will be managed and coached by a Cornish Pirates' player, giving them one to one training with a professional rugby player.
All the proceeds raised from the event will go to CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. To reserve a place call Jordan on 07876 653829.
