Porthleven Harbour and Dock Company's controversial owner, Trevor Osborne, is back at home recovering after suffering a heart attack on Saturday.
Although he is recuperating, it means that Mr Osborne will not be attending the Cornwall Council planning site meeting taking place on Monday afternoon when his plans for a new innovations building will be debated.
Breaking the news, Mr Osborne's PA, Karen Brennand, said: "I am sorry to tell you that Trevor suffered a heart attack on Saturday but he is now at home recuperating.
"Although it was a serious event, he is recovering very well but has been warned by his doctors that he should 'take it easy for October.'"
She added: "It will not be possible for him to be at the site inspection at the shipyard in Porthleven on Monday, 9 October. He will be represented by Jo Sharp, Trevor’s business manager, and Duncan Isherwood, the architect for the project."
The meeting has been called by Cornwall Council's west sub-area planning committee after it deferred making a decision on the plans, which include studios and units for around 70 people, an internet cafe, bus shelter, public toilets and showers.
It will take place at 4pm on Monday, October 9, and will be attended by the planning committee's chair and vice-chair, plus three other members, as well as local Cornwall Councillor Andrew Wallis.
Members of the public are invited to attend, and third parties will have the chance to put their points for or against the application, but will have to register with planning beforehand. No decision will be made on Monday.
