For the past 32 years their name has been synonymous with pasties in Helston and now the family behind Horse & Jockey Bakery has thanked their loyal customers as they prepare to say goodbye.
Juliette Shore, who set up the business alongside husband Brian back in 1986, thanked the town for its support as the couple get ready to hand over to Hayle-based pasty makes Philps.
Brian and Juliette put the business - which includes shops in Helston and Porthleven - up for sale at the start of the last year after deciding to retire and last month it was revealed that a sale had been reached with a similarly renowned family firm, Philps.
Although no official date has been set for the handover, it is expected to take place in the very near future, with no break in service.
Juliette told the Helston Packet: "We'd like thank everybody for their custom over the years. We hope everything carries on in the same vein.
"We have been grateful to everyone who has supported us and for the hardworking, dedicated staff that have been a pleasure to employ."
It has already been confirmed that the staff will all transfer with the business when it becomes Philps - including Juliette herself, who will remain on during the transition period and then hopes to continue working in a lesser role part-time.
"We wish Philps all the very best and hope they have as many happy years as we've had," she added.
Horse & Jockey has build up a strong reputation in the area for the quality - and size - of its pasties in particular, although it has also offered bread, filled sandwiches and cakes.
Last summer it received royal approval when the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall took home some baked goodies from the Porthleven branch of the business, during the couple's tour of the port in July.
