One of the main routes out of Helston has reopened following a serious car fire earlier this afternoon  

The A394 was closed in both directions, with queueing traffic due to recovery work and earlier vehicle fire, on the main Helston to Penzance road, just past the turning to St Johns and Penhallez Hill. 

Traffic was using the B3304 through Porthleven as a diversion.

However, the burnt out car has now been removed and all emergency services have left the scene,  with the road fully reopened.

Traffic is said to be moving but slow due to the backlog in the Helston direction, with no problems in the Penzance direction.
