MULLION capped a memorable couple of seasons by winning Saturday's Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League's Division Four County final. They hammered Launceston seconds at Roche by ten wickets.
Despite needing 178 not only did they reach their target without loss but did so in just half the available overs. Openers Trevor Lee and John Trewin raced to victory in just 24.1 overs. Lee hit three sixes and 10 fours in his 84 not out while Trewin stroked 16 boundaries on his way to 78 not out.
Launceston lost an early wicket thanks to a run out from Lee. They recovered to reached 72 before losing their second wicket as Mike Kirby made 22 and Jake Murphy 44. Sam Pengelly then hit 39 to help get the total up to 177.
Paul Warbis ended with figures of five for 28 from 11 overs. Kevin Bosustow took two for 46 in addition to holding on to a couple of catches.
