Former Truro College student Louise Kennedy is set to trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust. Louise, who studied Performing Arts at Truro College, will be taking on the challenge in February.
During her six day trek to the summit of the highest mountain on the African continent, Louise will be faced with the challenge of differing terrain and trekking at high altitude.
Louise now works as cabin crew for Easy Jet. Following a Europe-wide staff vote, Easy Jet nominated The Anthony Nolan Trust as their Charity of the Year.
The Anthony Nolan Trust takes back lives from leukaemia by providing lifesaving donors for patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. Since 1974 The Anthony Nolan Trust have helped to give over 5,800 children and adults a new chance of life by providing them with suitable' bone marrow donors.
Louise Kennedy said "I had a next door neighbour who died of leukaemia so raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust really appealed to me. All my friends from Truro College have been really helpful and supportive."
