AUDITIONS for children to star in this year's fun-filled panto - Aladdin - at the Hall for Cornwall take place at the theatre on Sunday, October 7.
This year's panto, which starts its run on December 12, stars Generation Game favourite Isla St Clair as The Genie and BBC Radio Cornwall's David White as The Emperor.
The essential requirement is that any child must be at least eight years old on November 26, 2007 and not reached their 16th birthday before January 6, 2008.
Provisionally, the HfC and producers Hiss & Boo will be looking for two teams of 10 children. Precise requirements will be given to parents at the audition, but the children must be available for the entire period of November 26 to January 6.
They will be required for a weekend rehearsal day (to be agreed) on each of the two weekends prior to November 26.
During the run of the panto they will probably be required on alternate days or alternate performances. It has yet to be decided.
Registration for the auditions will begin at 9.30am for a 10am start on October 7. Among those "judging" will be Truro choreographer Jason Thomas, who has joined the team to co-ordinate the stunning dance sequences.
Ian Liston, of Hiss & Boo, said: "All those attending will be given a chance to show what they can do with regard to singing, dancing and overall stage ability. We will be looking for personality' just as much as performance'."
If you would like to take part just turn up for registration at 9.30am. Anyone with any questions should contact the Stage Door on 01872 262465.
