A public meeting is being held on Wednesday evening in Devoran to discuss the future of the now closed village school.
The Victorian building has been vacated following the opening of the new school on the outskirts of the village.
But the future use of the old building has been causing concern among residents for some time. The school is partly owned by the county council, the diocese of Truro and the estate of the original donor of the land.
A number of possible uses have been put forward not least a mixture of affordable housing and community use facilities.
Feock parish has commissioned a report which will be discussed tonight along with ideas put forward by residents.
The meeting, being held in the village hall, is expected to be well attended particularly by those concerned that the old school is not put to the wrong use and who want it to remain of value to the community.
