TRURO CITY 2 PERRANPORTH 0
TRURO City maintained their pursuit of Jolly's Combination League leaders Helston with a hard-earned 2-0 win against Perranporth.
City took the lead in the 34th minute when Perran's offside trap failed to function for the first time. Jon Hoyles ran clear and he beat James Oates with a perfectly-executed lob.
Perran missed a chance of levelling the scores when Tom Byrne was brought down in the box. Martin Bennetts took the spot kick, but Richard Pennington made a great save to keep his side in front.
City gave themselves breathing space ten minutes later when substitute Matt Salmon crossed for Hoyles to snap up his second goal.
