PORTHLEVEN 1
ILLOGAN 0
JOLLY'S Combination League champions Illogan slipped to another defeat when they were beaten 1-0 by Porthleven at Gala Park.
The Fishermen were good value for their first-half lead, but Illogan did enough and had enough chances to have at last salvaged a draw.
Both sides played some good football with the first real chances going Port's way in the 15th minute when Graham Cook scuffed his shot as he tied to chip goalkeeper Danny Burrows.
It was the first of three very important saves by Burrows as Porthleven cut through the visitors' defence.
Illogan's best chance fell to Craig Williams who saw his well-struck shot the side of the post.
The decisive goal came in the 35th minute when Jordan Adlard's corner was allowed to find its way into the back of the net with three defenders standing and watching.
Illogan began the second half well with Josh Kemp going close with a shot that landed on the roof of the net.
Illogan had the better of play and possession, but their final ball was poor and let them down on too many occasions.
The visitors had enough opportunities to salvage a point, but they just couldn't put them away.
