BARTON HILL 40pts

CAMBORNE 5pts

CAMBORNE, hard hit by injury and unavailability, battled from start to finish but went down to a heavy defeat in Bristol.

On the back foot throughout, scrum half Dean Pascoe and full back Joe Parma, in particular, gave everything and colts lock Martin Goldsworthy plus emergency hooker Sam Bartle deserved great credit for their performances.

Down 7-0 to a converted try early on "Town" put their only points on the board in the 15th minute when another colt, Nathan Curnow, claimed a try from a driving maul.

Barton Hill added further points with two unconverted tries before half time as the Cherry and Whites stayed just about in touch at 17-5.

The bigger home side turned the screw early in the second half with another try and two penalties in quick succession from fly half Matt Richards to go out of sight.

In a difficult last quarter for Camborne centre Rob Ley and flanker Dave Eustace both limped off as Barton Hill made the scoreline more convincing with two further touchdowns, one of which was converted.
