Whether it's down to the unique beer made on the premises or the all-too-rare quiet surroundings, the Blue Anchor in Helston must be doing something right after making it into the Good Beer Guide for every edition of the publication's 35-year existence.
The impressive feat - which only one other pub in the whole of the south west has been able to match - has prompted staff and customers at the Coinagehall Street pub, owned by landlord Simon Stone, to raise a glass and toast the success.
Mr Stone said: "We're very proud indeed, to be part of it. Real Ale has come on a long way since the guide came out and it's a credit to everyone at Camra, the way they have promoted it over the years."
He believed that his pub has proved so successful due to its commitment to quality and the unique nature of the place. The building itself is historic, dating back 550 years, and has its own brewery where it produces the famous Spingo ale.
"We're very much a community pub as well," he added.
The book, which names the best places to buy a traditional pint of ale, is produced every year by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).
Judges describe the Blue Anchor as: "A rambling, unspoilt 15th century granite building with a thatched roof and its own brewery at the rear. There are no distracting games machines in the two small bars."
Both the Blue Anchor and the other pub to have achieved the same feat, the New Inn at Kilmington in East Devon, will now be presented with commemorative plaques to mark the triumph.
