Lovers of fine Cornish cuisine are in for a treat at this years Cornwall Food & Drink Festival 2007, taking place at Lemon Quay, Truro from 9:30am on Friday, September 28 - Sunday, September 30.
With more culinary attractions than ever before, visitors will have the chance to sample Cornwall's finest local cuisine from over 60 Cornish producers and witness the region's top chefs at work in the cookery theatre.
Each year, the festival strives to highlight the importance of the region's food producers. Now in its fourth year, more than 25,000 visitors are expected to enjoy the weekend's activities. With so much interest, it's vital to remember the festival's key underlying message - to encourage people to understand more about where and how our food is produced, especially younger generations, and just how critical local producers are to the region's economy.
Angie Coombs, Manager at Taste of the West in Cornwall said, Events like this are a fabulous opportunity to remind both locals and visitors of the diversity and quality of the food and drink produced in Cornwall and the importance of traceability and the benefits to the region of supporting local producers.'
