Anti-social behaviour in Helston town centre remains a priority to the town's police, councillors have been told.
In a report to Helston town council by neighbourhood beat manager PC Nigel Treloar, who was unable to attend the meeting in person, members were assured that the Sunken Garden and Coronation Boating Lake in particular were still being monitored closely by officers.
He said that Kerrier district council was aware of the extent of the problem at the boating lake and had been asked to provide details of possible prevention methods.
"We can patrol the area as much as we can, but we are hoping to put in a gate or CCTV unit to prevent the anti-social behaviour happening in the car park. When we go down there we can just move it on," he added.
PC Treloar added that in other areas, problems with speeding had been reported - such as on the Porthleven Road. This was also being tackled, he said.
