More than a year after a 25-year-old man went missing, police are continuing their hunt for him and believe he may be in Falmouth.

David Stuart Allen is thought to have started a new life in Falmouth after going missing from Lincoln in June last year. He had never been missing before.

Police are now still trying to ensure that Mr Allen is safe and well and have appealed for anyone who knows him or Allen himself to get in touch.

Inspector Chris Bennett from Lincoln Police Station said: "It's been more than a year now, since Mr Allen left the Lincoln area. Following our appeal in June this year we had a number of sightings, which we followed up. We think his friends now may include art students. Clearly Mr Allen does seem to have left the area for good, but we still need to know that he is safe and well in his new life.

"Our enquiries have led us to believe that he could be working in a pub or bar in Falmouth and we're keen for him, or anyone who knows him, to get in touch and let us know he is all right."

Mr Allen is described as white, around 5 foot 7 inches tall, of slim build, with blond hair and blue eyes. He is believed to have taken a rucksack and sleeping bag with him and was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, grey shoes and a red and grey striped T-shirt.

Any sightings of Mr Allen should be reported to police straightaway at Lincoln police station on 01522 882222, quoting incident number 479 of June 19 2006.
