Throughout October the National Maritime Museum will be encouraging people to join in the Cornwall 2007 Celebration of Food with a special seafood platter being served in its Waterside Café.
From October 1 the Waterside Café at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth will be serving a delicious platter of Cornish seafood, to celebrate and promote the fine fish and shellfish that Cornwall and, more specifically, Falmouth Bay has to offer.
Included in the platter will be mackerel, Falmouth Bay mussels, smoked pollock, whole crab and gurnard, served with a saffron, chive and cream sauce, and a choice of either fries, salad or seasonal vegetables.
James Dormer, Head Chef at the Museum said: "We're really pleased to be taking part in this year's Celebration of Food Festival and hope that our guests will enjoy our own slant on the celebrations. Seafood makes up the majority of our menu and why shouldn't it when the museum building is surrounded by the sea. We're literally spoiled for choice, and hope our dining visitors will be too, with such fine Cornish fish on offer here in Falmouth."
