An independent Falmouth pub has been chosen as one of 100 small businesses to be highlighted in a national campaign.
The Boathouse, in Beacon Street, is part of this year's Small Business Saturday backed by American Express, which shows off one business a day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday 2018 pm December 1.
A licensed pub for over 300 years, The Boathouse has views over Falmouth Harbour, the Penryn River and Flushing and serves locally sourced seasonal food accompanied by speciality ales and wines.
Co-owner David Carless said: "We at The Boathouse were over-the-moon to be chosen as one of the 100 small businesses in this year’s group.
"As an independent operator in a sea of corporate pubs and restaurants in Falmouth, we’ve worked our socks off over the last 15 years of trading to support our local community. So this additional profile is critical to helping us reach out to the fabulous people of Falmouth and beyond, to come and pay us a visit please."
The pub is currently undergoing an extension that should be ready before Christmas.
The Boathouse's Small Biz 100 day is Monday, November 19.
