Cornwall has played host to a special Christmas-themed Songs of Praise, which broadcasts this Sunday.
The episode, which has been named ‘Cornish Christmas,’ features a visit to Mousehole for presenter Aled Jones as he attempts to make a traditional Star Gazey Pie with Michelin-star Chef Chris Eden.
There will also be performances from Fisherman’s Friends and Mevagissy Male Voice Choir from St Pol De Leon Church in Paul with carols such as Hark! The Herald-Angels Sing, The First Nowell and O Little Town of Bethlehem.
The legend of heroic fisherman Tom Bawcock is also discussed – a staple around Christmas time with Tom Bowcock’s Eve Festival taking place on December 23.
Featured locations are Mousehole Docks, The Ship Inn in the town, and Mousehole Primary School.
There will also be a feature on Sir Cliff Richard’s 60 years in showbusiness and his new Christmas song.
The programme will be broadcast on Sunday, December, 16 at 1.15pm.
