A MAN who was over the legal alcohol limit whilst in charge of a car has appeared before Truro magistrates.

Jake Cooper, aged 21, of Gwelmor, Camborne, admitted being in charge of a VW Golf in Rectory Road when he had 65mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Cooper was fined £193 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with ten points.

A DRIVER failed to stop after injuring another man on the A30 near Redruth.

Sam Macklin, aged 26, of Cadogan Road, Camborne, admitted committing the offence on May 19 whilst driving a VW Caddy van.

An accident occurred between Avers and Scorrier, causing injury to another person, but Macklin failed to stop.

His licence was endorsed with eight points and he was fined £126. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A HELSTON man who drove without due care and attention has been banned from the roads.

Derek Harris, aged 67, of Trevenen Road, admitted committing the offence near Swallows Nest, St Keverne, on August 25.

He has been disqualified for six months and fined £323. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

AN assault charge has resulted in a community order for a Redruth man.

Keith James Matthews, aged 43, of Edmund Road, admitted assault by beating a man in St Ives on July 27.

He must participate in a Thinking Skills Programme for 19 days, under the requirements of the order.

He was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £250 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE woman who committed assault has been given a 12-month conditional discharge by Truro magistrates.

Sarah Louise Ann Newton, aged 22, of Chapel Court, Tuckingmill, admitted assault by beating on December 4.

A restraining order has been imposed forbidding her from contacting victim for one year.

She was ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

A MAN who failed to comply with the requirements of his community order had been fined £25.

Christopher John Knight, aged 31, of Trenance Road, Camborne, admitted failing to attend an appointment on November 14, as directed by the order.

A DRINK driver who was found in possession of cocaine has been banned from the roads for two years.

Joshua Ross Findlay, aged 28, for Colinsey Road, Penzance, was also handed a community order after admitting both offences which took place on October 15 in St Mary's Street.

He had 95mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He must carry out 140 hours of unpaid work and was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

STEALING 19 bags of carpet underlay from his employer has resulted in a community order for a Helston man.

Jason Paul Hall, aged 40, of Forth Gwedhen, admitted committing the offence between May 3 and June 25 from Alfords Carpet and Flooring, in Helston.

The community order requires him to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.

He was ordered to pay compensation of the value of the underlay, which was £1,282.50. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver from Redruth has been banned from the roads for 20 months.

Shannon Marie Holland, aged 22, of Murdoch Close, admitted committing the offence in a silver Vauxhall Corsa in the car park of KFC in East Hill, Camborne on November 28.

She had 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath, the legal limit being 35mcgs.

Besides the disqualification she was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

BREACHING a suspended prison sentence has resulted in an six-week jail term for a Camborne man.

Liam David John Marshall, aged 26, of Parc an Tansys, admitted being in possession of 2.9grammes of cocaine in Camborne on November 16.

He had received a suspended sentence on September 4 for assault.

A PENRYN woman has been fined £40 for drunk and disorderly behaviour.

Moyana Violet O'Neill, aged 33, c/o Saracen Street, admitted committing the offence in Falmouth on December 1.

POSSESSING a carving knife in public has resulted in a suspended prison sentence for a 49 year old man.

Kevin Lee Sterry, aged 49, of Comford, Redruth, admitted committing the offence with the seven-inch blade in Camborne on December 5.

He is also been given a restraining order.

Sterry also pleaded guilty to drink driving in a black BMW in Albert Street, Camborne.

David John Casey, aged 60, of Station Road, committed the offence on June 26.

Leeya Diana Sandra Darbyshire, aged 28, of Sunny Meadows, Sparnon Gate, Redruth, committed the offence on August 17 in Camborne.

A 51 year-old man drove without insurance, Bodmin magistrates heard.

Alan Neville Dougal, aged 51, c/o Tregurra Lane, Truro, admitted committing the offence in Redruth on August 14.

FAILING to give information relating to the identification of the driver of an alleged offence has resulted in a heavy fine for a Threemilestone woman.

Amelie Teresa Geeson, aged 42, of Jubilee Road, committed the offence on July 23.

Susan Marie Grant, aged 54, of Cranfield Road, drove a Honda on the A30 at Roseworthy on July 30.

A HELSTON man drove without insurance in an Audi on July 28, a court heard.

Joshua Charles Hazelden, aged 24, of Seneschall Park, admitted committing the offence on the A30 at Eastern Green, Penzance.

A MAN has been jailed for 18 weeks after twice entering an area of Truro from which he was prohibited.

Andrew Stephen Page, aged 56, of no fixed address, committed the offences on December 15 and December 18. On the second date, he also stole a bottle of wine belonging to Marks & Spencer on Lemon Quay.

He pleaded guilty to all three offences.

Magistrates said the reason for custody was because the "offence was so serious, deliberate offending and earlier failures to comply with no custodial orders".

A TRURO man who stole a debit card from another man has been handed a community order.

Richard Lewis Hall, aged 38, of Trelander Highway, admitted the offence on September 12.

He bought £30 of items and took £100 cash from the card.

He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £85 costs, £85 victim surcharge and £30 compensation.

A WOMAN who stole alcohol and items from Asda has been given a community order.

Sonia Pellow, aged 44, of Penryn Street, Redruth, also failed to surrender to custody on October 15.

She stole goods to the value of £356.02 from Asda in Hayle on September 12.

She also admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Pellow will be electronically monitored for eight weeks.

Williams Lloyd-Davis, aged 66, of Lower Market Street, committed the offence on August 8 on Dracaena Avenue in Falmouth.
