THERE was a fond farewell to two of Penryn's long serving members of the business community last Wednesday when a members of the town's chamber of commerce wished them well.

Chemist David Turton, who is retiring, was presented with a bottle of bubbly, while newsagents Carol and David Ryall were presented with a bottle of bubbly and flowers from the Little Yellow House. Mrs Turton, who was unable to attend, was also given some flowers.

There was a buffet provided by town mayor Mary May who presented them with a certificate of thanks from the town council.

Chair of the chamber Carolyn Hartley said they would be sadly missed and wished them a long and happy retirement.
