Police are concerned for the whereabouts of a vulnerable Cornish woman who has been missing from her home in St Agnes since yesterday.
Nicola Samoluk, 39, is described as having a thin build, dark brown hair with a ponytail and looking withdrawn'. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, white trainers and a grey or lilac Bench fleece top.
Officers including neighbourhood beat managers and PCSOs are searching the surrounding areas. The police helicopter and a police dog unit also joined the search for her yesterday but to no avail.
Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward following a possible sighting of Nicola at around 3.30pm yesterday.A witness has come forward to say that they think they saw a person matching the description of Nicola while driving through the hamlet of Silverwell in Cornwall.The witness recalls seeing a dark-coloured Volkswagen vehicle in the area at the time and police would like to speak to the driver of any car matching this description which would have been in the area of Silverwell at the time to assist with the enquiry.
The search continues today. Anyone who may have seen Nicola is asked to call police quoting log 666 of 7 October.
