Police were called to a road traffic collision near Grampound Road village on Friday after a car collided with a gas main.
The accident happened on Friday at around 11.30pm.
A blue Peugeot 306 was in collision with a gas main near to the entrance of the industrial estate. The collision caused damage to a main gas supply, which supplies the local area.
Transco attended the incident and minimum disruption was caused to residents. There were no evacuations.
The driver of the vehicle has been reported for driving without due care and attention
