A crowd of more than a thousand is anticipated at Camborne’s Recreation Ground when the Mining Division giants do battle on Boxing Day.
The annual holiday derby game between Camborne and Redruth is widely believed to be the longest enduring consecutive Club fixture in World Rugby.
With the hosts in the top half of the South West Premier table and the visitors riding high in National Two South the stage is set for a titanic battle between the two sides.
These encounters are now given added spice with the Milk Cup up for grabs thanks to the continuing generous sponsorship of Rodda’s a local family firm with almost 130 years of history themselves and the world’s largest producer of clotted cream.
Although Redruth have dominated the competition it is the Cherry & Whites who are the current holders after last year’s thrilling away victory and with home advantage on this occasion will be looking to repeat that upset.
Supporters are requested to arrive in good time for the 2.30pm kick off with the Camborne clubhouse open from noon for pre match refreshments.
