FiREFIGHTERS received reports of an electricity pylon caught fire after a bonfire got out of control yesterday.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service's Critical Control received a 999 call just after 5pm, reporting the fire at Scorrier.
One appliance from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station was mobilised, and the attendance of Western Power Distribution was requested.
On arrival crews had difficulty in accessing the location, however quickly found a caravan on fire.
The caravan was left to burn in a controlled manner, and firefighters used beaters to extinguish the fire in the area around it to prevent spread to an electricity pylon in the vicinity.
Before leaving, crews gave suitable words of advice to the responsible person.
