RICK Stein's Porthleven restaurant will not be reopening when coronavirus restrictions are lifted, it has been confirmed.
The Packet reported on Friday that the port site was the only one in the chef's Cornish network that was not taking bookings from July 4, the provisional date that the Government has set for restaurants to reopen.
Rick Stein's Fish in Falmouth, The Cornish Arms in St Merryn, The Seafood Restaurant, Rick Stein's Café and St Petroc's Bistro in Padstow are all open for booking tables from July 4 online and by phone.
However, on Sunday a spokesperson for the Porthleven restaurant said: "We are very sad to say that our Porthleven restaurant will not be reopening.
"Thank you to all of our customers who have supported us.
"We hope you will find your way to our other restaurants where perhaps we can share fond memories of nights overlooking the romantic harbour."
The Packet will be contacting the company to ask about job losses and more detail on the reasons behind the closure.
