A MAN has been stabbed in a late night attack.
Police said they were called to St Ives shortly before midnight following an altercation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said that the incident took place in Treganna Road between 11.30pm and midnight on Wednesday, September 16.
Emergency services found the victim on Chapel Street.
The victim, a 29-year-old man from Redruth, was left with a stab wound to his arm, leaving him in hospital at Treliske with injuries that police have described as serious, but not life-threatening.
The spokesperson said: "It was reported that two men fled the scene on foot following the altercation, but were not located during police searches. Police are seeking to identify and locate the two men in connection with this incident.
"One man is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a grey tracksuit with black trainers and a rucksack. He was reportedly wearing a red and yellow helmet.
"The second man was reported to be around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was reportedly wearing black jeans, a grey hoody with black jacket over the top, white trainers and wearing a white helmet.
"A scene guard was put in place whilst enquires were made."
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them.
