A Cornish primary school has been closed after three positive cases of coronavirus were confirmed.
Cornwall Council issued a statement on Wednesday evening to say that its public health team was working with Archbishop Benson CoE Primary School and that "as a precaution" the school would be shut for the rest of the week.
The council said the school had taken the decision to close on Thursday and Friday, so that a deep clean could be carried out.
It is due to reopen again on Monday (October 12).

Rachel Wigglesworth, interim director of public health for Cornwall Council, said: “The school has made the difficult decision to close temporarily to ensure the safety of staff, pupils and families.
"Whilst we know that this may cause childcare issues with children at home unexpectedly, this decision has not been taken lightly."

She added that parents need only book a test if they or their child developed of the three main Covid symptoms: a new continuous cough - that is a cough that lasts for more than an hour, or three coughing sessions in 24 hours - a high temperature (this does not need to be measured, but feeling warm on the chest or back) or a change to, or loss of, taste or smell.
Tests can be booked online on the gov.uk website, or anyone without access to the internet can call 119.
Earlier in the day it was also confirmed that a group of students and staff members at Penwith College in Penzance are isolating following a confirmed Covid-19 test result on Monday.
