An entire year group has been put into isolation following a confirmed case of coronavirus at a primary school on the Lizard Peninsula.
Cornwall Council said it was working with other authorities to support staff, parents and children at Mullion Primary School after a positive Covid-19 test result at the school involving year six.
A council spokesperson said: "A group of 24 children have been told to isolate, along with two members of staff, as a precaution and in line with the latest government guidance.
"Cornwall Council’s public health team will continue to work closely with the school to ensure appropriate action is taken."

He added that the school was also being supported by the Department for Education and and local NHS colleagues workers.
Rachel Wigglesworth, interim director of public health for Cornwall Council, said: “Mullion Primary School have acted quickly in response to the confirmed case and we are working with them to provide advice and guidance in line with our local outbreak management plan.”
It is not the first primary school in the county to have seen a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the past week.
Last week a primary school in Truro announced it was closing for a deep clean after three positive cases.

The council has reminded everyone to help limit the spread of the virus by adhering to Public Health advice.
To stay Covid safe everyone should wash their hands regularly for at least 20 seconds using soap and water or using hand sanitiser, not gather in groups of more than six, follow social distancing measures by keeping two metres apart if you can, keep to school bubbles and wear face masks in line with government advice.
It is the second publicly confirmed case in the village this month. At the start of the month the Galleon Fish and Chip Shop in Mullion announced it was closing for two weeks over a confirmed coronavirus case involving a staff member. The shop is due to reopen tomorrow (Tuesday, October 13).

Today's coronavirus 'cluster' map from the government shows eight confirmed cases of the virus in the area it calls 'The Lizard', which in fact covers the wider Lizard Peninsula area including Mullion, The Lizard, St Keverne and the Meneage villages.
However, due to a delay in the figures being posted to the map, these cases date from October 1 to Wednesday last week, October 7.
