Three pubs that run takeaway and doorstep delivery service Pub Grub have upped the greens - and not just with their vegetable selection.
The group of St Austell Brewery tenancies that run Pub Grub - the Victoria Inn in Roche, the Victoria Inn in Threemilestone and Perranarworthal’s Norway Inn - have bought three 100 per cent electric vehicles and also installed new charging stations.
Pub Grub has been delivering hot meals, along with a selection of beers and wines, to people’s homes since the start of lockdown.
To help meet ongoing demand for the service, Pub Grub has invested in three Renault ZOEs - recently named the Best Small Electric Car 2020.
Mark Holden, Pub Grub founder, said: “I’m so proud of our teams in Truro, Roche and Perranarworthal who have worked around the clock to make Pub Grub a success since we first launched in March. We’re proud to be able to deliver a little bit of comfort and convenience to our local communities, to see them through these challenging times.

“We’re delighted to introduce our three new recruits – our Renault ZOEs. Not only will these new vehicles help us to become more environmentally friendly, they are also a future-looking investment in our takeaway and delivery service.
"It’s important that we’re able to continue adapting to changing Covid-19 regulations and helping those in our community who may be shielding or isolating.
“We have also invested in new EV charging stations – for all three of our pubs – which we hope will be helpful for our guests and local communities, when they visit us.”
All food orders come with re-heating instructions and a full list of ingredients.
Deliveries can be collected from all three pubs, or dropped to homes in the local community, seven days a week between 11am and 8pm. Orders can be taken over the phone between 9am and 7pm – including larger weekly orders for local businesses that need them, including retirement homes.
