Arson is believed to be the cause of a fire in a derelict building this morning.
A total of three engine crews from Tolvaddon and Truro fire stations were called to North Roskear in Camborne just after 7.30am.
It followed a report of a fire in a derelict building.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue spokesperson said earlier: "On arrival the crew confirmed smoke was issuing from the building and are currently using breathing apparatus and hose reels to fight the fire."
An update was given at 8.30am to say that the fire was by then limited to a small area within the building, which the firefighters were extinguishing.
Crews would then remain on scene for a further 30 minutes, damping down.
The spokesperson added: "The cause is believed to be arson and the police have been informed."
