Late night shopping is coming to Helston this festive season, with 20 businesses already signed up.
The event is being organised by Melinda King, manager of the Fishermen’s Mission charity shop.
She has gathered interest from businesses in the town for such an event to take place this Friday (December 18).
Shops will be opening until around 7pm that day, to allow people to head into town after work and do some Christmas shopping.
Signed up so far are: Fishermen’s Mission, Tech Revive, Daisy Chain, Headrush, Sands, Whirlwind Sports, British Heart Foundation, Sweet Pea, Bowdens, Vape shop, Cornwall Animal Welfare, Jenkins Sweetshop, JJ News, Cornwall Hospice South West, Gillian’s Larder, Vintage Eve, Dobles Jewellers, Manor Fashions, Glazed Expression and Wearnes.
Melinda hopes that more will get onboard by the night of the event.

She said: “Go in the shops, say hello, have a glass of mulled wine and mince pie - see what we’ve got in our lovely town!”
The date also coincides with the second of two 'mystery gift' events being run by the Fishermen's Mission shop in Coinagehall Street for children.
Families can head along from 3.30pm and the children will be escorted upstairs to the Christmas gifts area.
Here staff will help the youngsters pick out a present for a loved one and wrap it for them to maintain the secret, while the adults wait downstairs.
