The latest Covid-19 case information for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has now been updated.
As of 4pm today (Saturday, January 23) there have been 143 new cases recorded in the previous 24 hours.
The total number of cases in the local authority area since the start of the pandemic now sits at 11,333.
There were 1,354 cases recorded in the seven days leading up to January 18. Data from the most recent five days is not shown due to being incomplete.
This represents a weekly rate of 236.8 cases per 100,000 people.
The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has also increased by 33,552 in 24 hours.
This brings the total to 3,617,459 nationally since the start of the pandemic.
There have been no further deaths in Cornwall's hospitals involving patients testing positive for Covid-19, following a third rise in as many days yesterday.
In yesterday's update, three more people died at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, bringing the total number of deaths relating to the virus in the Trust's hospitals to 116.
It followed another three people confirmed in Thursday's update and ten on Wednesday, across Cornwall's two hospital trusts.
It brought the total number of deaths relating to the virus in Cornwall's hospitals to 152, including 36 at the Cornwall Partnerships NHS Trust.
The overall total number of deaths in Cornwall – including deaths in care homes and other settings – has risen to 268 recorded in the 28 days after a positive test result, including four today.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 simply on the death certificate remains at 257 on the government dashboard, with this figure updated weekly.
Nationally, a further 710 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in hospitals in England in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 65,814.
Patients were aged between 25 and 101 years old. All except 33 (aged 28 to 93 years old) had known underlying health conditions and their families have been informed.
The dates of their deaths ranged from May 27, 2020 to January 22, 2021, with the majority being on or after January 18, said NHS England.
In the UK overall, another 1,348 people have died within 28 days of their first positive test result.
This brings the total number of UK deaths within 28 days to 97,329. These figures included people in care home and other settings.
As of today (Saturday, January 23), 5,861,351 people in the UK have received their first Covid-19 vaccination dose, while 468,617 people have had received their second dose.
