In Truro Magistrates court this month:
A 53-YEAR-OLD man from Swanpool has been banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120 by Truro magistrates after admitting driving whilst nearly four times of the drink-drive limit.
Jonathan Bishop of Swans Reach, Swanpool, Falmouth pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Transporter in Mongleath Road whilst over the limit on January 4 this year.
Bishop was also ordered to comply with an alcohol treatment programme for six months, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85.
A 35-YEAR-OLD man has been banned from driving for 12 months by Truro magistrates after admitting drug driving on the A39 in July last year.
Daniel Maurice Roskilly of Matela Close, Porthleven was stopped by police on the Penryn by-pass on July 17, 2020.
A blood test revealed that he had delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol, a psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, in his bloodstream.
Roskilly was also fined £323, ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 Crown Prosecution Service Costs.
A MAN found in possession of a kitchen knife, in Falmouth has been sent to prison for 21 weeks by Truro magistrates.
Tai Rhys Allen, 23, of Trelander Highway, Tregolls, Truro pleaded guilty to having an offensive weapon without lawful authority or reasonable excuse in Oakfield Road on February 2 this year.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and Crown Prosecution costs of £85.
LAUREN Elizabeth James, 28, of no fixed abode has pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated assault on another woman in Truro on May 21 last year.
Truro magistrates made a restraining order not to contact the victim and another person for a year.
They also gave her a community order of nine months to have mental health treatment, fined her £180 and ordered her to pay the victim £250 compensation.
JOHANNA Osborne, aged 49, of St Johns Road, Helston has been disqualified from holding a licence for 17 months at Truro Magistrates after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Osbourne admitted a VW Polo on Wellington Road, Helston while twice the drink drive limit.
As well as the disqualification, her licence endorsed and she was fined £323, ordered to pay a victim surcharge £34 and pay costs of £85.
