One more patient had died after testing positive for Covid-19 in a Cornwall hospital.
The death was recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, bringing its total to 168, with the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust total remaining at 55.
It means the overall number of Covid-19 deaths in total in Cornwall's hospitals since the start of the pandemic now sits at 223.
The overall total number of deaths in Cornwall – including deaths in care homes and other settings – is now at 400 recorded in the 28 days after a positive test result, including five today.
The number of deaths simply with Covid-19 on the death certificate remains at 378, with this figure updated weekly. There was a rise of 54 in the most recent update, with the figures refreshed on Tuesday.
Nationally a further 407 people who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 78,152.
Patients were aged between 25 and 101 years old. All except 17 – aged 25 to 97 years old – had known underlying health conditions and their families have been informed.
The date of their deaths ranged from December 9, 2020 to February 11, 2021 with the majority being on or after February 6.
Of those 29 were in the South West.
The overall UK figures today show 758 more people to have died within 28 days of their first positive test result.
This takes the total number of UK deaths within 28 days to 116,287. These figures include people in care home and other settings.
As of 4pm today (Friday, February 12) there have been 56 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the previous 24 hours.
The total number of cases in the local authority area since the start of the pandemic now sits at 13,212.
The seven-day rolling total of cases is now 462 cases recorded in the seven days leading up to February 7. Data from the most recent five days is not shown due to being incomplete.
This represents a weekly rate of 80.8 cases per 100,000 people.
The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in the UK has increased by 15,144 in 24 hours.
This brings the total to 4,013,799 nationally since the start of the pandemic.
As of today (Friday, February 12) 14,012,224 people in the UK have received their first Covid-19 vaccination dose, while 530,094 people have had their second dose.
