After a long day of in-depth discussions the G7 leaders will be able to relax at a beach barbecue in Cornwall this evening - complete with a special flypast from the Red Arrows.

And while the general public may not be allowed entry, it is entirely possible to recreate the event with a barbecue in your garden and see the famous aeroplanes with their coloured smoke perform an aerobatic display entirely for free.

Find pictures from the display that took place HERE.

Those living in the Carbis Bay area, where the G7 Summit is taking place at the Carbis Bay Hotel and Estate, will get the best views of the action, but if you live on the flight path you should still be able to get a glimpse of the 'Arrows', which will be taking off from RNAS Culdrose in Helston just after 7.30pm.

The flight times have been published on social media, with the planes following this route at these times:

7.34pm: RNAS Culdrose

7.36pm: South of Cadgwith

7.38pm: Over the sea

7.41pm: Over the sea

7.44pm: East of Penzance

7.45pm: The main display over Carbis Bay

8.04pm: Over the sea

8.06pm: North of Redruth

8.09pm: Return to RNAS Culdrose

EDIT: The Red Arrows appear to be running around 15 minutes behind this schedule, only leaving Helston at around 7.45pm. Subsequent timings may vary.

Devon and Cornwall Police has asked people not to gather to see the display, but stay at home and watch from their gardens and doorsteps.

The force said: "Tonight will see the Red Arrows flyover Carbis Bay at 7.45pm. Whilst we appreciate it is something many people will want to watch, we urge you to stay Covid safe and please watch from home."

The barbecue on the beach in Carbis Bay will be an altogether more relaxed affair than the dinner last night with the Queen and other members of the royal family at the Eden Project.

Sea shanty group Du Hag Owr will provide the musical accompaniment to the event.
