A fundraiser has been set up to help support a couple who sadly lost their dog along with their business after an accidental fire.
The fire broke out at Landed Fish & Chips, located in Porthleven, yesterday (July 28) at around 12:40pm, and appliances from Helston, Penzance, Tolvaddon, Falmouth and St Just were all called in to help fight the blaze, as well as two flexi-officers.
Now, a group of people by the name of 'Porthleven Community' has set up a fundraiser to help get owner Ross Sloan back on his feet.
So far, the fundraiser has raised £7,418, smashing its initial target of £5,000 in less than 24 hours.
The group says on the fundraiser: "So here goes...today an accidental fire broke out Landed Fish & Chip shop in Porthleven.
"Thankfully everyone was ok however they (the owner and friends) sadly lost their dog, most of their belongings, and their beloved business.
"Ross Sloan who started the business Landed just one year ago has been left numb & devastated."

"Running a business is challenging enough and to have started and kept going throughout the pandemic is a remarkable achievement, we are heartbroken to hear of the fire this morning, destroying their place of business-what a kick in the sweets.
"If you can help Ross no matter how big or small a donation - it will all help and will be greatly appreciated.
"If you cannot donate then please share this with others.
"This fund has been set up by Ross and Ellies friends and community in Porthleven to enable us to set up a recovery fund whilst he gets back on his feet and anyone who wishes to help to make a contribution."
In an update on it's social media page on the day of the fire, Landed Fish & Chips said: "We are sorry to say due to a fire today Landed will be closed until further notice.
"We will be back online soon to update you all.
"Thanks for the support and understanding at this difficult time."
